Your High School Senior is happy because the essay is done, and you're happy because you didn't have to keep "reminding" her to do it. 

My goal for your student is to develop an engaging essay that they can be proud of,  that will turn heads during the admission process, and to make this a fun vs. tortuous process.

My goal for you is to relieve you of the title of Nagger. I want to take this off your plate so you can discuss other important college strategies and have an enjoyable college planning experience.

I’ve created a process that works well for parents and students:

1. Parent/Student kick-off meeting to agree on the rules of engagement and expectations. Please note that I keep my sessions and the student's work confidential; it is up to them to share what they've written with their parents. However, if at any time, parents would like to know how the process is going or would like to discuss anything, please reach out. 

2. Begin sessions with the student. 

3. We will agree upon the timing for getting the essay completed, based on your student’s schedule.

4. Billing is as needed, depending on the amount of sessions and frequency. I usually send a note detailing the amount of time and type of work done.

I offer two options so that you can choose what you and your student think is best: 

Comprehensive Essay Assistance: $1,000.00

Comprehensive support in exploring and identifying the best essay topic for the personal statement. This includes a thorough brainstorming discussion, parent interviews, identifying possible themes, and packaging the final essay. Unlimited support until the essay is completed.

Rate for Essays & Supplements: $150/hour

Paying an hourly rate is also an option. 

For essays, as stated above, we  focus on finding a great topic through brainstorming, and then working through the story until it's polished.  

For supplements the process varies based on the question. We will work on organizing and developing a strategy for answering these questions, with coaching on best practices, balance, and some topics to avoid.
